Our Mission

U R Special Ministries, Inc. exists to foster self-esteem and healthy lifestyles in needy and at-risk children. We do so by providing new, one-of-a-kind outfits of clothing for the children of Edmond, Oklahoma, and distributing it to them in ways that are celebratory, interactive, and affirming.

Although the founders and principals of U R Special Ministries, Inc. are Christians, we offer our service and love to the children and families in our community without regard to religion, race, or ethnic background.

News

We had a wonderful Back-To-School distribution on August 15 and 16. The turnout of smiling children, excited about the start of school, was fantastic! We welcomed over 700 Edmond children in two days and met many new families in our community.

A big thank-you to all our volunteers who made it all possible with their generous gifts of time, energy, and money. We give a special shout-out of gratitude to our seamstresses and to Edmond Women’s Club, which gave not only money to buy shoes but also many wonderful volunteers at our distribution days.

Our winter distribution will be:

When	Friday, November 14, from 10 to 7 Saturday, November 15, from 10 to 1
Where	U R Special 25 W. 3rd Street in Edmond
Who	Children of Edmond, ages 3 through 9
What	Each child will receive a new winter outfit: shirt, jeans, underwear, socks, shoes, coat, and gloves. (Girls get dresses, too.)
Why	Because we want each child to feel very, very special
Note	Children must be present to try on their shoes and receive their clothing. Seamstresses, please note that dresses are due back on Friday, November 7. Thanks!
