Our Mission

U R Special Ministries, Inc. exists to foster self-esteem and healthy lifestyles in needy and at-risk children. We do so by providing new, one-of-a-kind outfits of clothing for the children of Edmond, Oklahoma, and distributing it to them in ways that are celebratory, interactive, and affirming.

Although the founders and principals of U R Special Ministries, Inc. are Christians, we offer our service and love to the children and families in our community without regard to religion, race, or ethnic background.

News

On November 14-15, we had another wonderful distribution day, when we welcomed and clothed approximately 650 Edmond children. There were smiles all around as boys and girls chose their new outfits, received warm coats and gloves for the winter, and took home Christmas stockings with goodies. An enormous thank-you to all our crew of volunteer staff, including shoppers, stuffers, dress designers, seamstresses, knitters, crochet-ers, and distribution staff! U R Special's gift to the community wouldn't be possible without you!

We currently are recruiting more dress designers and more seamstresses, so if you or someone you know is nifty with a needle, blazing with a bobbin, or super with a sewing machine, please make 2 dresses for us for spring. Contact us for details.
