Fostering self-esteem and a healthy lifestyle in at-risk children
Our goal is to foster self-respect, healthy lifestyles, and self-esteem by making every child feel special. With the help of over 200 talented volunteer seamstresses and a number of helpful merchants and civic organizations, as well as a grant from the City of Edmond, we offer each child positive opportunities to make choices, to interact with attentive adults, and to have some fun as they select their new clothing, shoes, and coats. We are a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization under applicable IRS rules, so gifts to U R Special are tax-deductible as charitable donations.
